Trend Micro, Inc. Chooses Ryma Technology Solutions FeaturePlan.

FeaturePlan enables Trend Micro to globally standardize their Product Management process.

Montreal, Quebec – October 18, 2004 – Ryma Technology Solutions Inc., the first company to deliver an Enterprise Product Management (EPM) solution for Product Managers that employs best practices from the Pragmatic Marketing® Framework, announced today that Trend Micro Inc. (Trend Micro, Inc. is a Tokyo-based company with North American headquarters in Cupertino, California), has chosen FeaturePlan™ to help it globally standardize its product management process and help automate its information gathering capabilities.

With several functional groups and locales all providing input to the product management team, Trend Micro needed a way to standardize the how they took requirements in and communicated across all of their teams… a formidable task to say the least. The product management team also needed a way to automate the information gathering process that included win/loss reports, enhancement requests and call reports plus institute a process to build standardized requirements.

Upon the implementation of FeaturePlan, Trend Micro was able to begin producing a complex market requirements document (MRD) within two weeks. With 5 Product Managers fully utilizing FeaturePlan’s abilities, Trend Micro plans to expand its use worldwide to all its Product Managers and allow corporate collaborators (engineering project managers, systems engineers, technical support, sales and selected customers) access to FeaturePlan’s web input capabilities. This allows collaborators the immediate ability to contribute critical market information and requirements directly to the appropriate product manager for evaluation for future product releases.
